Pressure Cooker is a James Beard award winning podcast about parenthood, feeding kids and how it all became so complicated.
We’ve done shows on the Secret History of Dino Chicken Nuggets; Intuitive Eating for Kids; The Truth About Children’s Vitamins; The Panic over Ultra Processed Foods and The Wild West of Food Marketing. In short, the show explores the thorniest topics related to how we feed our kids and confronts the isolation and confusion that come with trying to raise healthy children. Our goal: To dish out empathy and common sense to help parents gain confidence and perspective.
Who’s behind Pressure Cooker?
Jane Black and Elizabeth Dunn are veteran food journalists. They’re also moms of children ranging in age from three to twelve Pressure Cooker is their effort to sort through the crazy and offer support and validation to parents struggling to navigate manipulative marketing messages, impossible cultural expectations, and little people with big personalities.
